What Is a Private Line?
Do you have a detached garage, boathouse, pool, outbuildings, or outdoor light posts along a walkway or drive on your property? If you have underground electricity/utilities to these facilities, you may have a private line.

A private line is an underground utility that was installed by either the homeowner or a contractor working on behalf of the homeowner. These lines are typically not owned by a local utility company and are the responsibility of the homeowner.

If work is being done in or near your property, inform those doing the work of the potential for private underground facilities. This could avoid injury, damage, or service interruption to these lines.

Coverage Area
AA Private Lines Inc locates privately owned underground metallic utilities (electric, telephone, gas, fiber optic, water, cable T.V., satellite dish lines) both residential and commercial upon request. This does not include PVC plastic, clay tile, or concrete lines (i.e. storm sewer, sanitary sewer).

Upon arrival to the job site we gather as much information as possible from the client via verbal communication, drawings and blueprints. From the data gathered, we will then proceed to locate the lines to the best of our ability.

We are not responsible for unknown and unfound utilities. Once the utility is located by us, we follow the same guidelines as Diggers Hotline. We are liable within 18” each side of the mark, and the marks are good for ten days.

Should damage occur involving our markings, AA Private Lines Inc must be notified immediately. Failure to do so would void any liability on our behalf.
